Character breakdown: Ellie / Blaze

Ellie is an imaginative, headstrong and intelligent teenage girl. She is obsessed with comic books. Her mother has very recently died. Before this point, she was active and liked at school. When we meet her in the story, she has already withdrawn, to some extent, into her fantasy and we see that it may start to take control of her life.  She is yearning for escape, which she finds in Paradise City.  This is where she meets BEAST.

Blaze is her Fierce superhero alter ego.  She is super strong with bad-ass moves and her unique super power is unlimited speed.  Blaze is searching for revenge from her arch Nemesis, Dr Oblivion for the brutal murder of her Mentor and hero comrade, the invincible Silver. Blaze was Silvers side kick, like Robin to Bat Man, and now it is up to her to become the hero.

The role will involve stylised fight sequences, physical storytelling and puppetry as well as a naturalistic text based approach.
